Never Faded ( A poem about my Coorg trek)

I walked along the path

Amidst the woods

In pursuit of experiencing

The allure of Nature:

The giant and gnarled trees

Of pink,purple and black

Hugged me in their arms;

The leaves began to rustle

As I stamped on them.

Under the shades of the

Falling twilight,

The cobweb glistens like

A golden thread,

I dragged myself deep into the woods

To encounter a Cobra

Who pulled back into his hole

To evade my sight.

After hours of hiking

My lips began to parch;

The thirst for water faded

As I reached a fall;

But the thirst for travel,

It never did.
